1819-2019 என்னும் இருநூறு ஆண்டு காலக் கட்டத்தில் சிங்கப்பூர் நாடு கண்ட ஏற்றம் குறித்து விவரிக்கும் நூல் இது. சிங்கப்பூரில் ஏற்பாடு செய்யப்பட்ட இருநூறு ஆண்டுக்கால கட்டக் கொண்டாட்டத்தை மனத்தில் வைத்து இந்த நூல் எழுதப்பட்டது. கல்வி, சாங்கி விமான நிலையம் ஆகிய இரண்டு துறைகளில் இந்நாடு கண்ட முன்னேற்றம் பற்றிப் புகழ்ந்து கூறும் 200 பாடல்கள் கொண்ட நூல் இது.
முறையான கல்வித் திட்டம் இந்த இருநூறு ஆண்டுகளில் கண்ட வளர்ச்சியையும் சிங்கப்பூரின் பல விமான நிலையங்கள் பற்றியும் அவை எவ்வாறு இறுதியில் உலகத்தின் முதல்தர விமான நிலையம் என்ற பெருமையைத் தாங்கி நிற்கும் சாங்கி விமான நிலையமாக உருவெடுத்தன என்பது குறித்தும் பேசும் மரபுக் கவிதை –அறு சீர் விருத்தம்- பாடல்களைக் கொண்ட நூல் இது.
Growth of 200 (years)
Growth of 200 Years describes the rise of Singapore from 1819 to 2019. Written as part of Singapore’s bicentennial celebrations, the book has two hundred verses, recounting the nation’s significant triumphs in two examples, education and Changi airport. The book contains poems that trace the growth of formal education over two hundred years and recalls the development of various airports in Singapore, culminating in Changi Airport attaining its top international reputation.

அ. கி. வரதராசன்
அ. கி. வரதராசன் தமிழ்நாட்டில் 1944ஆம் ஆண்டு பிறந்தவர். சிங்கப்பூரில் வேலையேற்க 1982 இல் வந்தவர். கடந்த 25 ஆண்டுகளாக, சிங்கப்பூர் குடிமகனாக வாழ்ந்து வருகிறார்.
மரபுக் கவிதைகள் எழுதுபவர். இவரது மரபுக் கவிதை நூல்கள் சிங்கையில் பல பரிசுகளைப் பெற்றுள்ளன. கம்பனை ஆய்வு செய்து பல நூல்களை எழுதியுள்ளார். இந்நூல்கள் தமிழ்நாட்டிலுள்ள கம்பன் கழகங்களால் அவர்கள் நடத்தும் கம்பன் விழாக்களில் வெளியீடு கண்டு, அக்கழகங்கள் வழங்கும் பரிசுகளையும் விருதுகளையும் வரதராசன் பெற்றுள்ளார்.
கடந்த ஆறு ஆண்டுகளாக, இயக்கம், பாடலாக்கம், மேடை அமைப்பு, ஒட்டு மொத்த நிர்வாகம் எனப் பல பொறுப்புகளையும் ஏற்று இசை மற்றும் நாட்டிய நாடகங்களையும் இவர் மேடையேற்றி வருகிறார்.
கடந்த மூன்று ஆண்டுகளாக, கம்பராமாயண வகுப்புகளையும் வாரம் தோறும் வரதராசன் நடத்தி வருகிறார்.

Born in 1944 in Tamil Nadu, A. K. Varadharajan came to Singapore in 1982, and has been a Singapore citizen for the past 25 years. His traditional poetry books have received many prizes. He has studied and written books about Kamban, and his award-winning books have been launched at Kamban events hosted by Kamban Clubs in Tamil Nadu. He regularly stages music and dance dramas, directing, composing lyrics, building stages, and doing administrative work, and he conducts weekly Kambaramayana classes.

“இத்தாலியனாவது சுலபம்” சிங்கப்பூர் எழுத்தாளர் சித்துராஜ் பொன்ராஜ்-இன் 80 கவிதைகள் அடங்கிய தொகுப்பு. உலகமயமாகிவரும் சூழலில் தனது அடையாளத்தையும் கலாச்சாரத்தையும் தக்க வைத்துக்கொள்ள நினைக்கும் சிங்கப்பூர் தமிழர்களின் முன் நிற்கும் சவால்களை இக்கவிதைகள் பல கோணங்களிலிருந்து ஆராய்கின்றன. இந்த அலசலைச் செய்யும் விதத்தில் இத்தொகுப்பின் கவிதைகள் மூவாயிரம் ஆண்டு பழமை வாய்ந்த தமிழ் இலக்கிய பாரம்பரியத்தைத் தமக்குள் நிலை நிறுத்திக் கொள்ளும் அதே நேரத்தில் கவிதைகளில் பழக்கமாக்கிவிட்ட சித்திரங்களையும் உத்திகளையும் தள்ளி தமக்கென்று புதிய உத்திகளையும் சொல்லாடல்களையும் அமைத்துக் கொண்டுள்ளன. இத்தொகுப்பின் தலைப்பே சிங்கப்பூர் போன்ற பன்னாட்டு, பல கலாச்சாரச் சூழலில் வாழும் தமிழர்கள் எதிர்நோக்கும் அடையாளச் சவால்களைச் சொல்லும் விதமாக அமைந்திருக்கிறது. தனது மொழி, தனது கலாச்சாரம் என்ற பிணைப்பு உள்ளவனக்குக் கூட இணையம் வேறொரு அடையாளத்தை உடுத்திக் கொள்ளும் வாய்ப்பை எளிதில் வழங்குகிறது. இத்தகைய சூழலில் விருப்பம் இருந்தால் சந்தேகமே இல்லாமல் யாரும் இத்தாலியனாவது சுலபம்தான்.
It is Easy to be an Italian
It is Easy to Be An Italian is a collection of 80 poems by Sithuraj Ponraj in Tamil. The poems seek to explore the various aspects and challenges associated with preserving one's own Singaporean Tamil culture and identity in an increasingly interconnected global environment. To do this, the poems in this collection break away from images and forms traditionally used in Tamil poetry while retaining a strong connection to purity of the language shaped by the three millennia of Tamil literature. The title of the collection reflects the tension that exists in the hearts of many Singaporeans - a deep sense of one's own culture, and yet the possibility of accessing online communities where one can be something else altogether if one chooses. A world where indeed it is easy to be Italian or anyone else you choose to be.

சித்துராஜ் பொன்ராஜ் 18 வயதிலிருந்து தமிழிலும் ஆங்கிலத்திலும் கதைகள், கவிதைகள் எழுதி வருகிறார். இதுவரை தமிழில் "பெர்னுய்லியின் பேய்கள்" "விளம்பர நீளத்தில் ஒரு மரணம்" ஆகிய நாவல்களையும், "மாறிலிகள்" , "ரெமோன் தேவதை ஆகிறான்" ஆகிய சிறுகதைத் தொகுப்புகளையும் எழுதியிருக்கிறார். "காற்றாய்க் கடந்தாய்", "சனிக்கிழமை குதிரைகள்" ஆகிய இரண்டு கவிதைத் தொகுப்புக்களையும், "கதைசொல்லியின் ஆயிரம் இரவுகள்" என்ற கட்டுரை நூலையும் வெளியிட்டுள்ளார்.
மேலும் "கௌண்டில்யன் சதுரம்", "துப்பறியும் லலிதா" என்ற இரண்டு சிறுவர் நாவல்களை எழுதியுள்ளார்.

Sithuraj Ponraj has been writing fiction and poetry in English and in Tamil since he was 18. He has published two novels in Tamil, Bernouilli's Ghosts and Vilambara Neelathil Oru Maranam (A Death in an Ad Length) and has written two short story collections, Maariligal (The Unchangeables) and Ramon Thevadai Aagiraan (Ramon Becomes an Angel). He has published two poetry collections, an essay collection and two children’s novels.

சுபா செந்தில்குமார் தமிழ்நாட்டில் உள்ள கும்பகோணம் நகரைச் சேர்ந்தவர். சிங்கப்பூரில் கடந்த பன்னிரண்டு ஆண்டுகளாக வசித்து வருகிறார். சிங்கப்பூர் தேசிய கலைகள் மன்றம் வழங்கும், தங்கமுனை விருதினை (கவிதைக்கான பிரிவில்), 2015 ஆம் ஆண்டும் (இரண்டாவது பரிசு), 2019 ஆம் ஆண்டும் (முதல் பரிசு) இவர் வென்றுள்ளார். இவரது கவிதைகள் சிங்கப்பூர் மற்றும் தமிழகத்தின் இதழ்களில் வெளிவந்துள்ளன. இது இவரது முதல் கவிதைத் தொகுப்பாகும்.

Subha Senthilkumar came from Kumbakonam, Tamil Nadu, India and has lived in Singapore for the past 12 years. She won the Golden Point Award presented by The National Arts Council (NAC) in 2015 (Second Place) and in 2019 (First Place). Her poems have been published in magazines in Singapore and Tamil Nadu, India. This is her first poetry collection.
