Shrines & Streetlights by Ho Ren Chun
Shrines and Streetlights is the debut poetry collection of a young Singaporean whose keen eye belies maturity beyond his eighteen years. Shrines and Streetlights juxtaposes the old and the new, youth and age – it compares love with loss, it reconciles life with death. These themes intertwine to capture the intricacy of human realities often fraught with both passions and miseries, and most poignantly, understand their inextricable link.
